The good news about the vision for elim christian centre is that it is simple.
We don’t think that God is complicated. He is mysterious yes, but not complicated. And therefore the vision we have goes along with that.
It is so nice and simple we have managed to break it down in 3 key areas all starting with the letter “C”!
Church We love Church! Especially this one! And you know we aren’t talking about a building, but about you... People are the Church. A group of believers coming together on Sundays most weeks.
Sunday is a key day of the week. It is the only opportunity we get to meet together in one place. Where we can worship God together. Study his word together. There is something special about that! God seems to bless it when we do it to glorify Him.
God wants to build his church! His agenda is our agenda. We want to reach as many people in Taupo with His love. With the reality of who He really is. To introduce Him, to them...not a religion!
We want to worship him with passion. With contemporary music that people can relate to, which in turn helps them relate to Him.
What we preach, how we preach is all about giving us something we can live out. Some people call it life application teaching... We just think that if you can’t live what we teach Monday-Saturday then what is the point teaching it on a Sunday.
God is interested in us everyday...not just Sunday. Our heart is to help grow you in God’s word piece by piece so you can live out the dream’s God has for your life.
Connection This sums up a key area for us as a church...Connection. I need it, we need it, everyone needs it...
We need opportunity to connect with each other and with God. Sunday is a key part but it doesn’t do it completely for us.
That is why we have: Connect Groups Special Events
God’s heart for us is that we grow together. That being connected is normal for all of us.
Connection builds relationship...which we all crave. Connection brings safety and stability into our lives through the relationships we make.
Community Church is a Family...even a Community.
Healthy families or communities have some things in common. They help each other find their value. To find there calling. To discover what their gifts and talents are, and grow into them.
Our heart is to lead a Church where we all function as a community. To help each one of us grow in the gifts and talents residing in us. We are here for you! We are in your corner cheering you on to all that God has for you.
For us it is all about each one of us contributing to build a great Church. |
